RSGallery 2.1.1 Stable

RSGallery2 - New Version Release.

The RSGallery2 Team is proud to announce the launch of the latest version of RSGallery2.

Fixes:
- Now possible to use html in image and gallery descriptions, e.g. allowing for links in the description.
- Fixed 'multiplying backslash upong saving' in the backend for image/gallery names.
- Ability to edit and delete galleries and images in the frontend My Galleries is fixed.
- Filenames with spaces can be used in regenerating of thumbs (bug in regenerating proportional images with GD2).
- Portrait images are now resized okay based on given thumbnails width (that acts as thumbnail height in portrait images).
- Upgrade now possible without legacy turned on.
- Now possible to use 'special' characters (like e with accents) in My Galleries.

Changes:
- Added 70+ language strings that now can be translated (look at the bottom of en-GB.com_rsgallery2.ini for new strings; added in nl-NL as well).
- No longer using PEAR for error handling (going towards Joomla 1.6).
- Removed some legacy items (going towards Joomla 1.6).

Hello, I really need help I have created a website for a guesthouse and have installed rsgallery2 there are three different galleries (Solid Rock, Safe Haven and Rest Assured) on this website (matanja.co.za, under accomodation) yet I have had complaints that only one gallery shows(Solid Rock), this seems to be only a problem on some computers as three of mine works perfectly. Is there something that can be done to display these again?
Please Help

xx Language files as of version 2.1.1 | 10 Mar 10

In RSGallery2 2.1.1 there are several strings which used to be hardcoded and can now be translated. This is an invitation to post updated language files in this thread.

The file en-GB.com_rsgallery2.ini should be the basis for your translated text. If you scroll to the bottom of it you'll find the line
Code:
#Strings not in 2.1.0 (Backend) added after SVN 959
New strings since v.2.1.0 were placed after that line.

When you post an updated language file, please mention
- language code (e.g. en-GB or nl-NL)
- language name (e.g. British English or Dutch)
- Name to use for the credits (and an URL if you want)

Note
- the language file should be saved in UTF-8 without BOM (e.g. with Notepad Plus Plus)

These following language files are available (list will be updated):
- da-DK - danish - last updated in SVN 829
- de-DE - german - last updated in SVN 935
- el-GR - greek - last updated in SVN 829
- en-GB - english - last updated in SVN 976
- es-ES - spanish - last updated in SVN 778
- fi-FI - finnish - last updated in SVN 901
- fr-FR - last updated in SVN 744
- he-IL - hebrew - last updated in SVN 857
- hr-HR - last updated in SVN 805
- hu-HU - hungarian (formal) - last updated in SVN 768
- it-IT - last updated in SVN 744
- nb-NO - norwegian - last updated in SVN 780
- nl-NL - dutch - last updated in SVN 977
- pt-BR - brazilian - last updated in SVN 767
- sl-SI - slovenian - last updated in SVN 807
- tr-TR - turkish - last updated in SVN 866

In addition to these, you can find more languages in the zip file in the directory /preparedLanguages/. These files are the result of conversion of the language files for Joomla 1.0.x to Joomla 1.5.x (topic: http://www.rsgallery2.net/index.php?topic=15336.msg39376#msg39376). They can be used as a basis to translate. Their filenames need to be changed to reflect the Joomla 1.5 way (e.g. not dutch.ini but nl-NL.com_rsgallery2.ini).

2.1.1 = SVN 978 / 2.1.0 = SVN 959 / 2.0.0b1 = SVN 802 / J1.5 language files since SVN 744

I can't upload the latest release - 2.1.1, to Joomla 1.5.15 I've tried upload package file, and also FTPing file to my tmp folder and installing from there, but I get errors. Upload package file gives "there was an error uploading this file", installing from tmp gives "invalid xml".

exclamation Resizing Portrait Images incorrectly | 09 Mar 10

RSGallery2 2.1.1 - SVN    Joomla 1.5

I have installed and configured RSGallery2 on a club site and brought all the albums/photos in from their old J1.0 site sucessfully.

I have set image manipulation options to
Display Picture Width:    600
Resize portrait images by height using Display Picture Width:  Yes

I uploaded some pictures succesfully from the front end, and I am trying to encourage club members to try uploading their own photos again, and went back into the album to check.

The DISPLAY image is showing as 80 x 100 - i.e. thumbnail size.

All landscape photos are resizing and displaying correctly.

Please urgently advise what code I need to change as this is now a live site.
